Phase A stub — full terms drafted with legal counsel before launch. The eligibility terms below reflect Elio's current launch posture and will carry into the final document.

Eligibility

Elio is offered only to individuals who are at least 18 years old and who reside in the United States. By creating an account you represent and warrant that both are true. The service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we believe was created by, or is collecting a voice recording from, a person under 18.

Every person whose voice is recorded must be 18 or older — this includes additional household members you invite to add their voice. Each person confirms their own age and consents to their own recording; you may not record or submit the voice of anyone under 18. Support for younger family members' voices, with the additional protections that requires, may be added in a future version.

Elio is currently unavailable outside the United States. Access from the EU, EEA, and UK is geo-restricted.

At launch, Elio's voice-recording feature is not offered for use within the State of Illinois. This restriction may be lifted in a future release.

Voice recordings

When you record your voice, you authorize Elio to extract and store a numerical voice-feature profile and to use it solely to generate calming audio for your household's dog(s), as described in our privacy policy and biometric data retention & destruction policy. You confirm that the voice you record is your own and that you are authorized to provide it.

Not a medical device

Elio is a wellness and enrichment product grounded in behavioral science and psychoacoustics. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition in a dog or a person.
